Earning your Private Pilot Certificate (PPL) is an investment in a future filled with fun and adventure! Once you achieve your certification, it never expires. A PPL is also the required first step for a career in aviation.
At Sterling, we can help you stop dreaming, and start flying today. Most students complete the private pilot program in 2-4 months, finishing below the national average due to our one-on-one training methods.
We encourage you to schedule a Discovery Flight with us, or come visit us to tour the facility and view the aircraft that will be used in your training.
Training Requirements
Please note these rates do not include the cost of housing, exams or check rides, and are an estimate based on FAA minimum training requirements. Costs could be more depending on how often you fly and how quickly you absorb and retain the course curriculum.
Rates are based on training in a Piper Warrior. The student may request an alternate airplane model, at an additional expense.
Sterling has access to affordable housing solutions. Please contact us for more information.
If you need financial assistance for all or some of your training, Sterling Flight recommends utilizing one of our financing partners. If you are a veteran there are options to use your benefits for later ratings and licenses; however, benefits can’t be applied toward a private pilot license.
