[Jacksonville, Florida, May 8] – Sterling Flight Training LLC, is excited to announce its new Rotary Transition Pilot (RTP) Pathway training program through its affiliation with Liberty University. This unique program pairs online coursework with local flight training to covert helicopter experience to fixed-wing ratings, qualifying students for an airline position in just a few short months.
Currently military pilots have the lowest required number of flight hours to get an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, at just 750 compared to 1000-1500 hours for civilian pilots. This program leverages that experience toward a professional pilot career. GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon benefits are available for those that qualify.
Students will finish the program with:
- B.S. in Aviation
- FAA Commercial Single and Multi-Engine License with Instrument Rating
- FAA Flight Instructor Certificate
- 25 hours of multi-engine time and required hours for a regional airline
