After earning a Commercial license, the next recommended step in your aviation journey is becoming a Certified Flight Instructor. As an instructor you can accumulate the required 1,500 flight hours* to become an airline pilot – all while getting paid to teach others how to fly.
At Sterling, we also offer Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) ratings. All CFI graduates are **guaranteed an interview upon successful completion of the program.
Training Requirements:
*If you hold an associate degree or bachelor degree, this hours requirement can be reduced to 1250 or 1000 hours respectively. **Minimum graduation standards must be met.
Please note these rates do not include the cost of housing, exams or check rides, and are an estimate based on minimum training requirements. Costs could be more depending on how often you fly and how quickly you absorb and retain the course curriculum.
